Here I was thinking that Facebook was going to be the next Google. Duncan Riley puts across a decent argument that it could be the next Microsoft. Money Quote:

Facebook knows this; what buying Parakey does is provide Facebook with a base from which it can not only become a Web OS provider, but leverage it’s user base to become THE Web OS provider."
If Facebook decides to float, they've got my money.
